Noviello powers Trojans to victory!

The Trojans, led by Junior Andrew Noviello, squeeked out a win over visiting Dennis Yarmouth Dolphins 7-5 on a brisk day at Hank Pearson Field, improving to 13-1 on the season. The Trojans fell in a hole early on Tueday afternoon as the DY Dolphins swam to BR and jumped out to an early 4-0 lead through 2 1/2 innings. The Trojans had the top of their lineup coming to the plate, in the bottom half, and they did not dissapoint. Tyler carey led off with a bunt single and Corey Dinunno singled setting the stage for Junior Andrew Noviello who knocked a 2-0 pitch over the right center field fence for a r un HR to close the gap to 1 run! The score remined 4-3 until the bottom of the 4th when (who else but) Andrew Noviello would drive in 2 more (Jack Connolly single, and Tyler Carey single), and Joe Freiday would single home Noviello to make the score 6-4. The Dolphins added a run in the 5th but it wasn't enough as Cory Wasylow would knock in an insurance run making the score 7-5 and the Trojans held on for the W. Senior Shaun Bushlow made his first start of the year and performed admirably earning the win. Mike Manning pitched great for 1.2 innings and Andrew Noviello closed the door in the 7th earning the save. The Trojans were led offensively by Andrew Noviello (2 for 3 with 5 RBI's and home run), Joe Freiday (2 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI), Tyler Carey (2 for 4), and Cory Wasylow (2 for 4 with 1 RBI)
Coach Kearney on the win ""Congrats to Shaun Bushlow on the win and solid relief from Mikey Manning and Andrew Noviello (3rd save) combined with timely offense led by Novi's 2-hit / 5 RBI game (3rd HR) & two hits also by Joey Freiday (RBI), Cory Wasylow (RBI) and Tyler Carey (2 runs)." Good win vs a D-Y team that had won 3 in a row and 4 out of last 5 ... "
The Trojans will return to Old Colony League play on Thursday as they host the Dartmouth Indians.
